The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Bred” is a two-tone, red-and-black colorway of the casual lifestyle shoe that nods to the original Air Jordan 1 style of the same nickname. The origins of the “Bred” or black and red color story can be traced back to the Nike Air Ship “Banned” or “Bred” worn by Michael Jordan in 1984 with the Chicago Bulls. The shoe, which was outlawed by the NBA because it failed to comply with the league’s team uniform policy, was later a source of inspiration for the Air Jordan 1 “Bred,” and countless other shoes, like this Air Force 1, thereafter. The upper is constructed in black leather. A University Red leather Swoosh dots either side. A red leather heel tab with black “Nike Air” and Swoosh branding contrasts the neutral look of the upper. The University Red nylon tongue tag with black “Nike Air Force 1” and Swoosh detailing pops against the black nylon tongue. The two-tone, black-and-red look continues underfoot with a black rubber midsole with “Air” branding on the heel and a University Red outsole. Release date: September 7, 2021
